Financial advisers and authorised representatives
As an Australian financial services (AFS) licensee, you can appoint financial advisers and authorised representatives to your AFS licence. Financial advisers must also be registered with ASIC before they can provide personal advice to retail clients on relevant financial products.
You can update the details of your financial advisers and authorised representatives online, including their authorisations, qualifications and address.Ìý

Authorised representative
As an AFS licensee, you can appoint anÌýauthorised representativeÌýto:
- provide specified financial services, and/or
- appoint other authorised representatives on your behalf.

Financial adviser
As an AFS licensee, you must notify ASIC when you authorise a financial adviser, provisional financial adviser or time-share adviser under your AFS licence.
